The Sheeps Foot Paring Knife is a small, lightweight knife with a fine edge.
The Sheeps Foot Paring Knife has a flat blade, in the shape of a sheeps foot, that is used for peeling, mincing, slicing, or chopping. It is quite easy to use and has a comfortable grip. The blade is forged from a single blank of high carbon steel. Like all Messermeister cutlery, blades are hardened to 56 on the Rockwell hardness scale, so it will hold its edge for a very long time.
Messermeister of Solingen, Germany, has been crafting the sharpest edges of forged cutlery for more than a century. Part of that tradition is a bolster-less heel on their knives, which allows the entire length of the knife to be re-sharpened. The Sheeps Foot knife has a 3-1/2″ cutting edge and an overall length of 7-1/2″. Hand washing is recommended. For further information, visit Messermeister online.
